I used to think motivation was the key to success. Every year, I’d feel that spark—sign up for a gym membership, buy a Peloton, try the latest diet craze (Atkins, P90X, you name it). But no matter what I did, it never lasted.
For 20 years, I cycled through false starts and failed attempts at getting healthier. I was everywhere but nowhere—chasing quick fixes, ignoring the deeper work, and operating on low levels of consciousness with an ego that didn’t serve me. I wasn’t present. I wasn’t grateful.
Then came the wake-up call.
COVID: The Turning Point
Pre-COVID, I weighed 255 lbs. My doctor told me I needed high blood pressure medication, high cholesterol medication, and antidepressants.
I wasn’t even depressed! I was stressed and scared about my health.
That was one of the defining moments that forced me to face the truth: My health was declining fast. And if I didn’t do something about it, I was on a collision course with a heart attack before 50.
But the problem wasn’t just what I was eating or how little I was moving—the real issue was how I was thinking.
Why Motivation Always Fails
Motivation alone had never worked for me because motivation is temporary. It comes and goes depending on how you feel.
The real shift came when I met Jeremy (now my co-founder at Zero Doubt Club). He didn’t just hand me a workout plan or a diet.
He helped me connect the mind, body, and soul dots.
The Three Levels of Real Change
🔹 Motivation got me started (again).
🔹 Discipline: only with my healthy coach helped me with structure, consistency and held me accountable to my workouts and habits.
🔹 Devotion changed my identity—it became who I am.
Instead of just trying to survive a workout, I started to crush them. Instead of just cutting back on junk food, I fell in love with fueling my body the right way. Instead of being lost in negative thoughts, I found clarity, gratitude, and purpose.
How I Transformed My Life at 45 Years Old
💪 Lost 75 lbs of fat, gained 15 lbs of muscle.
🏃 Ran a marathon (never ran a mile before in my life).
💥 Can now do 3 sets of 10 pull-ups (never did a single pull-up before).
🧘 Created powerful morning & evening routines.
💡 Turned negative thoughts into positive ones.
🙏 Became fully present, grateful, and conscious in my life.
At 45, I felt like I was 65 and on the verge of a heart attack.
At 48, I feel 29. No, scratch that—I feel better than I did at 29. And on ZERO medications!
“Devotion to the small daily disciplines builds the foundation for lifelong success in health, mind, and spirit.”— Robin Sharma, author of The 5am Club
The Secret? Devotion.
I stopped chasing quick fixes and started living the lifestyle.
✔️ I prioritized strength training over aimless cardio.
✔️ I ate clean, whole foods instead of processed garbage and alcohol (now sober for 4 years).
✔️ I trained my mind as much as my body—through meditation, gratitude, and mindfulness.
✔️ I got clear on what I truly wanted—not just in my health, but in my life.
Why I Do What I Do Now
Today, I wake up every day excited to help others make this same transformation.
At Zero Doubt Club, we don’t sell quick fixes. We don’t push fad diets.
We meet people where they’re at—whether they’re 50+ lbs. overweight, struggling with stress and burnout, or just need structure and accountability.
If you’re stuck where I was, here’s my message to you:
💡 If you’re motivated, you’ll do it when you feel like it.
💡 If you’re disciplined, you’ll do it no matter what.
💡 If you’re devoted, you’ll never question doing it—it’s just who you are.
Which one are you?
In Good Health,
